3 concerns for potential Rams matchup with Cowboys in Divisional Round
By Dan Parzych
1. Defense has looked impressive for Cowboys
As much praise the Cowboys’ offense received with weapons like Elliott and Prescott, the defense deserves credit for stepping up in a big way this season.

In fact, the argument can be made that without the impressive play on the defensive side of the football, Dallas never would have gone on to win the NFC East title, let alone advance to the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
From their impressive win over the New Orleans Saints during the regular season to holding the Seattle Seahawks to scoring just 22 points on Saturday, the Cowboys have plenty to be proud of on defense.
When looking at the high-powered offense of the Rams, while there’s every reason to believe Sean McVay would be able to figure out a way to overcome the challenge of the Cowboys’ defense, let’s not forget that Sean Payton thought the same thing.
If there were anything to take away from that key win by Dallas over New Orleans during the regular season, it would be their defense seems capable of keeping any offense in check, no matter who the opponent may be.
The Rams would most likely end up being the favorites heading into this contest if it were to happen, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it would be an easy win for McVay and company since Dallas brings plenty to the table talent wise on defense.
