3. Make sure Donald, Suh get to Brees

How great of a job did the Saints do in protecting Brees when taking on the Rams during the regular season? Well, the fact that Brees wasn’t sacked once says a lot about the amazing job the offensive line for New Orleans did at protecting their quarterback, as he would also go on to toss four touchdown passes.

There weren’t many occasions in which Aaron Donald failed to get to the quarterback throughout the regular season after the defensive superstar set a career high with 20.5 sacks in 2018. Between Donald’s presence along with Ndamukong Suh, it’s easy to see why Los Angeles is considered to have one of the most dangerous defensive lines in all of football.

Assuming the offensive line of the Saints is on top of their game once again, it will be up to players like Donald and Suh to step it up even more on defense to make Brees feel uncomfortable as possible.

Even one or two sacks by either player could make a huge difference for the Rams on defense in this contest when seeing the results of the first outing since pressure on Brees will be key. If this happens, Los Angeles will hopefully be in much better position against New Orleans than when they faced off in the regular season.
