3 questions still bothering Los Angeles Rams fans days after Super Bowl 53 loss
By Dan Parzych
1. Did Rams blow their best chance to win Super Bowl?
After their surprise success from the 2017 season that eventually led to an early exit in the playoffs to the Atlanta Falcons, the Rams had every reason to believe they would continue to be one of the top contenders in the NFL this past season.
In fact, Los Angeles made it clear early on in the offseason they were willing to do whatever it takes to put themselves in the best position to make a run at the Super Bowl, whether it happened to be through trades or simply free agency.
From acquiring Brandin Cooks to signing Ndamukong Suh, the Rams were loaded on both sides of the football, which is why nobody was surprised to eventually see them earn the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff picture before earning a trip to the Super Bowl.
Coming up short to the Patriots they way they did was crushing for numerous reasons, but the one question that sticks out the most is whether the Rams blew their best chance of winning the Super Bowl.
Yes, all signs point to Los Angeles continuing to be a top contender in the NFC once again during the 2019 season, but also that’s always easier said than done.
Teams like the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys could very well be standing in the way of the Rams when it comes to representing the NFC in the Super Bowl, meaning there are no guarantees they will be in this kind of position again around this time next year.
