3. Danny Shelton

Over the years, the Patriots have established a reputation for helping numerous players turn their careers around, and Danny Shelton happens to be the latest individual added to that list after going on to win the Super Bowl following three years with the Cleveland Browns.

Looking back, New England giving up a future third-round pick last March in exchange for Shelton (along with a future fifth rounder) seemed well worth it after watching the former first-round pick appear in 13 games for the Super Bowl champions in 2018.

Of course, just because the Patriots were excited about bringing Shelton on last year doesn’t necessarily mean he’s guaranteed to return since the defensive tackle appears to be one of those players New England could easily replace, but this won’t prevent others from expressing interest.

Similar to how the Patriots felt last offseason, a team like the Rams could take the approach of feeling like they have nothing to lose by giving someone like Shelton a shot since the former Washington star was a first-round pick back in 2015 for a reason.

After seeing some of the risks that paid off for Los Angeles in 2018, why wouldn’t they consider the possibility of Shelton?
