2. Malcolm Butler

After his interesting fallout with the New England Patriots, Malcolm Butler went on to join the Tennessee Titans last offseason on a hefty five-year, $61 million deal to help the defense at cornerback.

So how did Butler’s first season in Tennessee turn out? Well, even though the Titans missed out on the playoffs, it was impressive to watch Butler start 11 of 16 games, and finish with three interceptions, one of which happened to be returned for a touchdown.

With this in mind, it seems unlikely that Tennessee would want to move on from Butler after only one season, but also the thought of all that saved money over the next few years is always an intriguing option.

Cornerback wise, the Rams are set at the moment with Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters leading the way, but also keep in mind that both players are entering the final year of their contracts.

In other words, Los Angeles has a bit of uncertainty at the moment beyond the 2019 season, and while the cost of Butler seems a bit high for what they would prefer to the Rams seem like a team willing to take a risk if needed.
