5 LA Rams players most hurt by no OTAs this year

Wide receiver
The LA Rams appeared to snag a diamond in the rough after the 2020 NFL Draft, as the teams signed up former Syracuse wide receiver Trishton Jackson. The 6-foot-1 197-pound receiver, originally projected to be called early on Day Three of the 2020 NFL Draft, instead fell out of the draft and was quickly signed to the LA Rams roster.
Jackson was originally anticipated to be a player stashed away on the roster for the 2020 season, with the projection of taking up the light rotational role held by teammate Van Jefferson as he rose to take on the third wide receiver resonsibilities of outgoing free agent Josh Reynolds. But the Rams, not content with the 2020 offense’s ability to score did not remain content with that succession plan.
Instead, the Rams signed veteran free agent WR DeSean Jackson, drafted Louisvill speedster wide receiver Tutu Atwell, and furthermore added Notre Dame wide receiver Ben Skowronek. One out, three in. Now, where will the Rams make room for them all. Um… news flash. Trishton Jackson is facing at best a demotion to the practice squad, and at worst his outright release.
That is, unless he can get on the field and prove to the Rams offensive coaches that he is deserving of a roster spot. To do that? He’ll need to show up early to the practice field, leave last, and work with each and every coach who as the time to do so. He needs to put in time with each quarterback, show up lean, and fly down the field. Even then, it might not be enough. The moment that the Rams drafted Tutu Atwell, the team sent a warning shot across Jackson’s bow. When the team doubled down and drafted Skowronek, they hit Jackson’s hopes of a larger role on the offense mid-stern. His chances are sinking. The only way to bail out that much water is to show up and dazzle the coaches.
