Will the outcome of the game alter the team’s off-season plans significantly? I don’t think that it does, to be completely honest. Win or lose, the LA Rams will have the same roster goals for next season. The Rams will reload either way: Win or lose. Competitors know that if you get knocked down and back, winners find a way to get back up, step forward, and be all the stronger for it.

In the end, I think it will depend on how the LA Rams play in Super Bowl LVI that will make or break the approach to future years. Head coach Sean McVay has shown significant growth this year, converting from an almost entire pass-centric offense when the going gets tough, to a head coach who is willing to commit to the running attack, even if it is doing nothing more than simply running time off the clock.

Everything leads to this moment

The entire Rams organization has done just about everything that this team can do to put everyone into a position of winning. The Rams did not build a team around name recognition or star power. Rather, this roster was built like a stone wall, carefully sizing each player up, and then placing them into the roster at the best spot for them, and the team, to succeed.

The Rams are not a brash group of upstarts this year. They are not new to the Big Game, nor will they be blown away by the first impression of SoFi Stadium. The players, the coaches, and the front office have all been here before. The entire organization knows the feeling of walking out of a Super Bowl empty-handed. It does not signify the end of good times. It simply motivates the Rams to train harder.

Ultimately, the reward of any true competitor is not the trophy, but rather the ability to perform at peak performance. Right now, that is all we can hope for. In the end, it comes down to believing in this team. Good things come to those who wait and believe. This game has a good feeling about it.
