The LA Rams certainly got off to a slow start in 2023, opening the season in the same fashion as the team ended the 2022 season, sluggish and uninspired. in 2022, the Rams fell to a 5-12 record, and appeared to be well on their way to repeating that in 2023 after getting off to a 3-6 start. But the Rams seemed to galvanize their intensity during their Week 10 BYE week.
It was that incredible transformation that reinforces just how powerful of an impact the NFL schedule can play on a team. Could the Rams have toughened up if the BYE occured in Week 5? Or would the Rams have had a sufficient number of games remaining on the schedule if they turned the season around after a Week 12 BYE? Of course, there are no winners when playing the what if? scenario games. But it does give you pause to ponder, doesn't it?
The LA Rams were rather balanced last season. The team played to a 5-3 record at home at SoFi Stadium, and was 5-4 away from home in 2023. But when the Rams faced a divisional opponent last year, they were all business in winning five of six games. In the NFC, the Rams posted an impressive 8-4 record. That left the Rams struggling against AFC opponents, only ending with a record of 2-3.
So how will the Rams fare this season? Let's dust off the crystal ball and see if we can do a bit better than last season's predictions, shall we?

Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Week 1
Week 1 - 9/8 - LA Rams @ Detroit Lions (Sunday Night Football)
The Detroit Lions rallied for their first NFL Playoff victory in what seems like a century, and the Lions fanbase was unreasonably cruel to Kelly Stafford and the Stafford children in that hotly contested game. It just so happens that veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford put up an exceptional performance in the loss. How well did Stafford play? He completed 25 of 36 passes for 367 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.
The thing is, that was just an appetizer to what the Detroit Lions should expect in 2024.
Let's face it. The LA Rams versus the Detroit Lions had a Hollywood movie script baked into it, and Matthew Stafford was happy to play the hometown hero-turned-villain to satisfy NFL fans and build excitement for that game. But fans need to know something about girl dads, especially a girl dad like Matthew Stafford: You don't win by trolling his daughters. All that does is set his mind to exact revenge the next time these teams meet. And this game is the next time these teams meet.
If there is such a thing as bulletin board motivation, you can bet this game is going to get one of the best efforts out of the Rams team all season. The Rams coaching staff and players love Matthew Stafford, and this game is personal. That is not just personal to Stafford but to the entire Ramily. Oh, there is also that matter of TE Tyler Higbee's ACL injury. There are many reasons to believe that the Rams will be fired up in this one.
Did I leave out the fact that LG Jonah Jackson would love nothing better than blowing open huge holes for RBs Kyren Willams and Blake Corum? The stars are aligning for the Rams to show up hugely for this one. The Lions had their fun in the 2024 NFL Playoffs and won by one point. Revenge is a dish best served cold. The temperature is dropping rapidly in Detroit, Michigan for this one.
Final Score:
LA Rams 30
Detroit Lions: 7
Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Weeks 2 and 3
Week 2 – 9/15 – LA Rams @ Arizona Cardinals
I witnessed the Arizona Cardinals making strides in the right direction in 2023, and they could improve from last season's 4-13 record to a 7-10 team, as they did seem to be upsetting good teams as the 2023 NFL season drew to a close. But the Rams, powered by the running skills of Kyren Williams, held the advantage against the Cardinals in both games in 2023, and the same outcome is likely this year.
The Rams' offense will resume its ground-and-pound attack against the Cardinals' defense in 2024 until they can stop them. The Cardinals will continue to struggle, as the Rams' offensive line has gotten better, particularly between the tackles. That means that the Rams' defense could get plenty of time on the sidelines as the offense controls the clocks, moves the chains, and grinds out some scores.
Will Cardinals QB Kyler Murray cook with WR Marvin Harrison Jr.? Perhaps. But that is a Sword of Diagnoses, as the more success that pair enjoys, the more likely their confidence crosses the line into overconfidence. The NFL loves to topple fast risers, and if Murray and Harrison are headlining the NFL, look for this underestimated defense to drop them a rung or two. I can see the Rams secondary creating multiple turnovers in this one if the Rams jump out to an early lead on the scoreboard.
Final Score:
LA Rams 27
Arizona Cardinals 17
Week 3 - 9/22 - San Francisco 49ers vs LA Rams
The LA Rams and the San Francisco 49ers are familiar foes, and the outcomes of recent games played in the regular season have leaned in favor of the 49ers more often than not. But the Rams junior varsity team pulled off an upset of the 49ers in Week 18 of the 2023 NFL season by defeating the 49ers team by a score of 21-20. That victory ended the 49ers winning streak over the Rams.
Now comes 2024.
The 49ers have a foundationally sound strategy, wrapped around a strong defense, a solid running game, and just enough passing attack to ensure a victory. But the 49ers' window of opportunity is closing, while the same window is reopening for the Rams. This game could come down to whichever team makes the fewest mistakes. I like the Rams' chances in that scenario, as the team has invested in defensive players whose specialty is forcing fumbles and picking off passes. That could play the deciding factor.
The Rams have re-engineered their roster with an eye on improving in areas that will aid them in beating the 49ers this season. The team's overall physicality has improved dramatically. The Rams offensive line is bigger, stronger, and meaner. The Rams have added a versatile and very productive running back. The Rams have added a huge target at tight end in Colby Parkinson.
Still, this is a game that pretty much tosses aside power rankings and records, as these contests have become a litmus test for whichever team wants it more.
At some point, the LA Rams versus the San Francisco 49ers contest will be a battle of field goal kickers: 49ers kicker Jake Moody versus Rams kicker Joshua Karty. While one year his junior, I can envision Karty kicking the game-winner through the uprights in overtime
Final Score:
San Francisco 49ers 14

Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Weeks 4 and 5
Week 4 - 9/29 - LA Rams @ Chicago Bears
The LA Rams finally face one of the premier rookie quarterbacks, former USC rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, and a new and improved aerial assault in rookie WR Rome Odunze. The Chicago Bears added plenty of flash and marquee players to a roster but neglected to address the fundamentals of beefing up an offensive line that needed help.
The Bears want to pack the seats, and the combination of rookies Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze will do that. But unlike many NFL analysts who tout this combination as instant chemistry and success, it just doesn't come that easily. Unlike the formula employed by the Houston Texans in 2023, the Bears did not have a ready-made offense and stout defense waiting to plop a new rookie quarterback into. This is a team that is building an offense around the Bears rookie QB, and the Rams will expose the difference with a relentless pass rush.
The Rams' defensive upgrades focused on sacking the quarterback and creating turnovers, and both compete for the highlight reel in this one. The Rams have wanted to put up a landmark defensive effort and this game could be the one. I believe that the new and improved pass rush can get to Caleb Williams four or more times in this one. I also anticipate multiple turnovers created by an energetic and eager defense.
On offense, the Rams execute a simple but effective game plan. Run the ball, move the chains, and score points. With an opportunistic defense, that's all this one needs to find a win. Welcome to the NFL, Caleb Williams.
Final Score:
LA Rams 35
Chicago Bears: 10
Week 5 - 10/6 - Green Bay Packers vs LA Rams
The Green Bay Packers may not compete in the NFC Western Division, but the Rams seem to face them at least once per season. Thankfully, the NFL schedulers have finally seen fit to place the game between these two teams at SoFi Stadium, rather than Lambeau Field.
Without the magic of Lambeau, or the miracles of former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, can this finally be the year that the Rams claim victory over the cheeseheads?
It's long overdue.
The Rams have been snake-bitten when facing the Packers in the recent past. The Rams had to travel to Lambeau Field and take on the Packers without veteran QB Matthew Stafford in 2023. That game was the low point for the team, as the Rams would lose the game by a score of 20-3. That game also became the turning point of the season, as the Rams signed veteran QB Carson Wentz to backup Matthew Stafford. The Rams also used that loss to regroup and come out fighting after their Week 10 BYE week.
The Rams' defense played well enough to win the game. But the offense simply could not do much right behind the throws from backup QB Brett Rypien. As long as Matthew Stafford is healthy, the outcome of this one will be decidedly different.
The Packers have had the Rams number in recent years. But all streaks eventually end, and that losing streak to the Packers ends this year. The Rams need to pick off the Packers to gain tie-breaker advantages over the Packers when the time comes to determine the seeding for NFL teams in the upcoming NFL playoffs.
Final Score:
Green Bay Packers 10
LA Rams 22
Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Weeks 6 and 7
Week 6 - 10/13 - BYE Week
While I am no fan of an early BYE week, this will give the team a chance to gather its collective breath, nurse injured players who may need extra time to rehabilitate back to health, and to gather their strengther for a long 11-game push to finish out the season.
Week 7 - 10/20 - Las Vegas Raiders vs. LA Rams
The Las Vegas Raiders are an NFL team that appears to be on the ropes in 2024. After a spirited 8-9 effort in 2023, the Raiders are banking on journeyman QB Gardner Minshew competing with QB Aiden O'Connell to lead them to the promised land. That is a tough task for new HC Antonio Pierce to ask of his offense.
Coach Pierce is a good guy and has done incredible work with getting players regrouped after the damage that former HC Josh Daniels inflicted on the team. Now, it will take time to restock the roster to suit the vision of Coach Pierce. That will not happen this season.
The Raiders are a gritty team that will have a no-nonsense perspective that will keep them in games that they would otherwise give up on rather quickly. But they are outgunned and outmanned by the LA Rams in this contest. In some games, everything seems to go right. That is the scenario that I foresee in this matchup. The Rams are a young and hungry team with something to prove, while the Raiders will give their all each week, but will run out of gas when traveling for this one.
The Rams have the prowess to defeat opponents by a thousand cuts, and that will start by pounding the rock again and again against the Raiders' defense. Kick at a door often enough and it will eventually burst open. The Rams will unload both barrels in this game, not only putting up plenty of rushing yards but also getting the bugs worked out of the team's formidable passing attack. This could be the best performance of the regular season.

Las Vegas Raiders 7

Week 8 – 10/24 – Minnesota Vikings vs. LA Rams (Thursday Night Football)
The LA Rams and the Minnesota Vikings are one more example of Rams HC Sean McVay matching wits with a former coordinator. In this case, former offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell is the Viking head coach, and the two former comrades become adversaries in this contest. Such is life in the NFL. Just one more game, right?
Well, in a manner of speaking, sure. Why not? But this is the first time the Rams will face rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy, and you better believe that the defense will do everything in its power to make this a regrettable experience.
You have to expect some growing pains for rookie quarterbacks. Unless you are C.J. Stroud arriving to a turnkey NFL team experience with the Houston Texans, that is. McCarthy has a solid team, but this is an offense that has become accustomed to the wily ways of veteran QB Kirk Cousins. McCarthy's collegiate experience in NCAA football has been primarily about fourth-quarter heroics, and less about doing the heavy lifting from kickoff to the final gun
The Rams may have a young defense but don't underestimate this group of young guns who are as passionate as they are productive. With a secondary that is beginning to gel and a defensive front that is learning to flex its pass-rushing muscles, they could make this a very long game for the Vikings' rookie QB.
Final Score:
Minnesota Vikings 15
LA Rams 28
Week 9 - 11/3 - LA Rams @ Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are not the type of team that can easily convert 2023's success (9-8 record) into 2024 success. The reason? This is a team that is under new management, or to be exact, new HC Mike MacDonald, the former DC of the Baltimore Ravens. As such, MacDonald will be installing a new thumbprint on this team's roster and 2024 fortunes.
Sadly for Seattle Seahawks fans, transitioning from what was to what will be will take time. Along the way, the Seahawks will experience some turbulence. The LA Rams bring a particularly choppy segment of their 2024 journey.
The Rams and Seahawks are familiar foes. While that could change under Coach MacDonald, expecting him to better Coach McVay instantly is a bit much to ask of any head coach. After all, he has just taken over the reins of this team, and that means that the roster is a blend of his new roster specifications with the former coaching staff roster specs. That will limit how much improvement, or even philosophy, MacDonald can install with the team this year.
The Rams have no such limits. This is a team that is riding the wave of 2023 success into 2024, and enjoying the benefits of lessons learned along the way. The offense has a new balance and will leverage that indecision of whether the team will run or pass to keep the Seahawks' defense on their heels.
I like the Rams' aerial assault in this one. Even with the defensive-centric Coach MacDonald, his secondary will face the growing pains that facing the Rams' passing attack will bring. For a bonus, look for a former Seahawks tight end to have a huge game in this one.

Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Weeks 10 -11
Week 10 - 11/11 - Miami Dolphins vs LA Rams (Monday Night Football)
No team can reasonably expect to win every game, so the trick in these 'instant prediction' articles is to try to size up the most likely occasions and opponents and the timing of those inevitable losses. One such loss could come at the hands of the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins ended the 2023 NFL season with a record of 11-6, and there is no concrete evidence to expect the Dolphins to finish with a less successful record in 2023.
The Dolphins will enjoy a full season of All-Pro DB Jalen Ramsey, and they have added WR Odell Beckham Jr. to the offense to make a playoff run this season. The Dolphins focused on upgrading their pass rush in the 2024 NFL Draft and emerged with OLB Chop Robinson, a prospect who had piqued the interest of the Rams this offseason.
The Dolphins also added some rookie offensive weapons to add even more options for a very productive offense. That will make this offense even more dangerous in 2024.
This will be a difficult matchup for the Rams. Not only will the team enter the game knowing that this one could turn into a shootout, but the Dolphins will be psyched up to prove themselves as one of the top teams in the NFL. The Rams seldom get caught up in any jockeying for position, and as a result, will likely view this one as just one more game on the schedule.
I like the Rams ground assault to keep this one even in the first half. But the Dolphins offense is loaded, which will force the Rams to open their offensive playbook. One mistake can be costly in a game like this, and Stafford has been known to throw the occasional pick-six.
Final Score:
Miami Dolphins 35
LA Rams 21
Week 11 - 11/17 - LA Rams @ New England Patriots
While I like the New England Patriots' new HC Jerod Mayo, he will need a long runway to get his team, and rookie quarterback Drake Maye, off the ground in 2024. Mayo is a defensive-centric head coach, and that seems to be the trend nowadays. But he is taking over a team that has hit rock bottom, and as stated, will need plenty of time to turn the corner.
The price to compete in the NFL comes at a high price, and the Rams have no reason to let down their guard to a team that is rebuilding a roster from the ground floor. Mayo is a passionate motivational head coach who knows and loves the New England Patriots, but following a legendary head coach like Bill Belichick is a huge mountain to climb.
The Patriots did as much as any team could in the 2024 NFL Draft to start the rebuilding process. But it takes multiple years for a team built around a rookie quarterback to start to gain traction. That won't happen in time for the Patriots to have a fighting chance in this one.
On the Rams' side, the team hates traveling to the East Coast and traveling from one corner of the country to play three hours earlier at the other corner of the nation is not exactly an optimal scenario either. The Rams will lean on bully-ball in this one, grinding out the yards on the ground, and mixing in just enough pass plays to keep the Patriots' defense honest. I could see the Rams cutting RB Blake Corum loose in this one. Corum can put up 100+ yards and 2+ TDs against the Patriots. That is enough for the Rams to get the victory.
Final Score:
LA Rams 21
New England Patriots: 9
Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Weeks 12 -13
Week 12 - 11/24 - Philadelphia Eagles vs LA Rams
This is a tough game to scry because my mind tells me that the Rams are more likely to lose a game than win a game, and the Eagles are an opponent that has done enough to win games in 2024. After all, the Eagles emerged from the 2024 NFL Draft with two of the top four defensive backs on my big board: Toledo DB Quinyon Mitchel and Iowa DB Cooper DeJean.
While NFL rookies need time to get up to NFL speed, the presence of two formidable prospects is tough to ignore and increases the chances of at least one rookie making a big play.
The Rams will win their fair share of games in 2024. But the team will lose a few games too. The Eagles suffered a tailspin to close out the 2023 NFL season, and are working hard to rebound this season. While they no longer have All-Pro center Jason Kelce, I don't think that it's going out on a limb to admit that they have wisely invested in their roster for 2024.
The Eagles struggle on the West Coast, which is why I struggle to surrender this game to the visitors. But the Eagles have added RB Saquon Barkley, who gives their offense a brand new dynamic.
I can see this game going either way. The Rams have a home-field advantage, and they are due for a win over the Birds. The Eagles have a more seasoned defense and pass rush. In a game like this, it could come down to an extra point or a successful two-point conversion. I went with a two-point conversion.
Final Score:
Philadelphia Eagles 22
LA Rams 21
Week 13 - 12/1 - LA Rams @ New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints may be one of the teams to claim a berth in the postseason this year. The team managed to finish 2023 with a winning record and had a respectable 2024 NFL Draft. I don't agree with some of the early power rankings that project the Saints to finish among the lower half of the standings at the end of the 2024 NFL season.
This is a team that returns QB Derek Carr, still features ever-versatile RB Alvin Kamara, and boasts WRs Chris Olave and Michael Thomas. The offense will put up points. The question is, how many will the Saints defense surrender in this one?
Unlike 2023, when the Saints' defense was generous in yards allowed (327.2 YPG - 13th ranked) but stingy in points allowed (19.2 PPG - 8th ranked), the Saints' defense will give way to the vastly more physical Rams offense.
In last year's contest, the Rams offense was powered by WR Puka Nacua (164 yards, 1 TD) and Demarcus Robinson (82 yards, 1 TD), as well as the thunderous running of RB Kyren Williams (104 yards, 1 TD). Look for more of the same in 2024, with one new wrinkle. RB Blake Corum will gash the Saints' defense too. I can easily envision the one-two combination of Williams and Corum combining for 210+ yards and 3+ touchdowns. But the Saints will stay close, and it could come down to a fourth-quarter comeback from Rams veteran QB Matthew Stafford to pull out the win.
Final Score:
LA Rams 33
New Orleans Saints: 27
Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Weeks 14 -15
Week 14 - 12/8 - Buffalo Bills vs LA Rams
The Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys are two NFL teams that seem to garner a lot of preseason hype, and then fall short of lofty expectations. In last year's playoffs, the Bills were stopped short by the Kansas City Chiefs. On a more localized front, the last time the Rams faced the Bills in 2022, the Rams were a bit embarrassed by the visiting team to the tune of 31-10. In that game, QB Matthew Stafford was sacked seven times. and he threw just one touchdown to three interceptions. It was a horrific start to a horrific season.
That was then, this is now.
The outcome will change because the two teams have changed dramatically, both in terms of players and overall direction. The Bills have suffered a very challenging offseason, riddled with releases of players to come in under the annual NFL salary cap. On the other hand, the LA Rams are rebounding with a roster bursting with young talent after having gone through a similarly painful offseason with similar demands.
The Bills are not the same playoff team from 2023. Nor is this the same team that demolished the Rams at SoFi Stadium in the 2022 NFL season opener. But the Rams remember that loss, and paybacks are long overdue.
Rams veteran QB Matthew Stafford has gotten a new lease on his NFL career, and that corresponds to the fact that the team continues to invest in an offensive line. With a formidable phalanx protecting him, Stafford's natural instincts can kick in, allowing him to slice and dice his way through the newly configured Bills' secondary. The Rams have a dangerous trio at wide receiver in Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, and Demarcus Robinson. Look for rookie WR Jordan Whittington to make several impressive plays in this one.
Final Score:
Buffalo Bills 14
LA Rams 29
Week 15 - 12/12 - LA Rams @ San Francisco 49ers (Thursday Night Football)
The LA Rams have finally gotten that losing streak monkey off their backs when facing their NFC West Divisional nemesis. But the 49ers are still one of the best teams in the NFL, and they are getting desperate with the window of opportunity closing on their chance to seize the bargain basement cost of starting QB Brock Purdy and pay for a championship roster.
Financial fatigue is starting to settle in on that 49ers roster. WR Brandon Aiyuk has not stayed silent about his interest in getting more money, lots more money. In response, the 49ers drafted WR Ricky Pearsall. While I love Pearsall's NFL potential, I don't recognize an immediate fit on this 49ers offense that has two established wide receivers in Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel. Factor in TE George Kittles and RB Christian McCaffrey, and there won't be many offensive opportunities for Pearsall in 2024.
One player who is a bit concerning in the 49ers offense is Louisville rookie RB Isaac Guerendo. I thought that he would do well in The Horns, and the 49ers rushing attack is custom-made for an indomitable rusher. In the past, the 49ers offense depended heavily upon the durability of McCaffrey. That may no longer be the case. After all is said and done, Guerendo may be an ideal understudy and may push for offensive snaps later in the season.
The Rams have closed the gap with the 49ers, but this is a division-rival game, and the two teams know each other all too well. I look for the Rams to flex some of that beefy offensive line and rushing attack against the 49ers with some success. But the Rams' defense needs to be intensely focused on stopping this rushing attack. I'd love to say otherwise, but the 49ers prevail in a closely contested game. Don't be surprised if this one needs overtime to decide.

Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Weeks 16 -17
Week 16 – 12/22 – LA Rams @ New York Jets
If you believe that the New York Jets are not dangerous with veteran QB Aaron Rodgers back under center, I respectfully and wholeheartedly disagree. Without Rodgers in 2023, the Jets managed to pull off a 7-10 finish. With Rodgers, you can equate four more wins without exerting any brain power at all. The Jets' offensive line was not very good in 2023, ergo the early season-ending injury to Rodgers.
But the Jets made a concerted effort to improve the protection for Rodgers. Combining an upgraded offensive line with RB Breece Hall and a healthy Rodgers will lift this team to a much more potent offense in 2024.
I don't like this game for two reasons. For openers, this is a road game for the Rams that sends them to the East Coast, and three time zones earlier in terms of kickoff time. But the second reason, and the more critical factor, is that this is a game against former 49ers DC Robert Saleh, who is the current head coach of the New York Jets. Due to his extensive NFC West experience, he is all too familiar with the LA Rams and the team's tendencies, game plans, and personnel.
The LA Rams do not enjoy the same level of familiarity.
Of course, on any given Sunday, the Rams certainly have the feel of a team that has a legitimate shot of winning on any given week, particularly in this game. But overall, the Rams are going to lose some games. My prediction in this one is bound to the final record of the team as much as the individual variables of this contest. The Rams will lose games and the likelihood of a loss in this game is greater than other contests on the schedule. I could go either way in this one. For this game-by-game prediction, it's the Rams who come up short.
Final Score:
LA Rams 19
New York Jets: 24
Week 17 - 12/29 - Arizona Cardinals vs. LA Rams
By this point in the season, you are probably safe to expect the Cardinals to be without QB Kyler Murray. Like many dual-threat quarterbacks, he tries to do too much at times, and he ends up paying the price. If he is playing, he runs the risk of being rather banged up. In either scenario, I do not expect much from the Cardinals offense.
I do, however, like the Rams defense in this one. The Rams pass rush ought to be peaking in Week 17, and the result is a lot of quarterback pressure on Murray, or whoever the Cardinals have under center for this one. With a smothering pass rush, and a Rams rushing attack that is getting tuned up for post-season, you have to love the Rams chances. The team looks every bit the playoff team in this one.
The Rams need a bounce back performance after losing on the road in two straight games, and nothing brings about a positive change for the Rams like facing the Cardinals. Everyhing and everyone is firing on all cylinders, and the Rams snap a two-game losing streak to claim a victory.
Final Score:
Arizona Cardinals 7

Game-by-Game predictions for 2024 Rams schedule release: Week 18
Week 18 - 1/5 - Seattle Seahawks at LA Rams
Even as the Seattle Seahawks finished with a record over .500 in 2023, the team was already making plans for life after longtime HC Pete Carroll. That could be a good thing or a bad thing from the LA Rams' perspective, as HC Sean McVay seemed to hold mastery over the Seahawks and Coach Carroll. The head-to-head competition was so lopsided that Coach Carroll poached the Rams coaching staff to find an offensive coordinator, Jake Peetz.
There is no coaching cross-pollination now that the Seahawks are led by former Baltimore Ravens DC Mike McDonald. The question is, will that benefit the Rams at SoFi Stadium in 2024 against the Seahawks? In a word, yes.
The LA Rams swept the Seahawks in 2023, and the Rams have gotten arguably much better while the Seahawks have changed their entire coaching staff. While the 'any given Sunday' rules still apply, this game should result in a solid win for the home team. Even as the Seahawks are gearing up for a rebuild on the fly, the Rams have spent an offseason fitting key contributors on both offense and defense. I am especially eager to see how many yards the duo running back tandem of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum can put up against their NFC West Divisional rivals.
The Rams' defense will be looking to whet their teeth on a formidable opponent to get ready for post-season, and the Seahawks fit the bill perfectly. They have a veteran QB, and a solid rushing attack, but the quality of their offensive line is questionable enough to look for some QB sacks. I believe that Jared Verse and Braden Fiske will have a 'How do you do, NFL?' moment in this game.
Even if the Rams sit starters for this one, they win.
Final Score:
Seattle Seahawks 13
LA Rams 33
Summary
After you go back and review the 2024 Rams schedule, the team ends the season with a record of 13-4. That should be enough to place this team into the coversation for the NFC number one seed for the NFL Playoffs. It should also be enough to propel the LA Rams to the title of NFC Western Division Champion.
The Rams are scheduled for five Prime-Time games: One on Monday Night Football, Two on Thursday Night Football, and Two on Sunday Night Football. While there are some quirks to this schedule, this isn't a bad one at first glance.
And this season, the Rams only face one opponent coming off their BYE.
Last year, the Rams faced 4 opponents coming off a bye.
