Is Marc Bulger A Fantasy Bust

Yahoo Buzz has a Five stars to avoid feature on Yahoo sports. Brandon Funston “Fantasy Expert” claims that since Mike Martz, Marc Bulger has been awful. In addition Al Saunders is a run heavy coordinator, Issac Bruce is gone and Bulger is the most sacked QB over the last five years. This leads him to state that Bulger will go from a fantasy stud to a fantasy dud. You can view the full video here.

Thefantasykickoff.com states – Marc Bulger – With Issac Bruce gone and Torry Holt aging, Marc Bulger is no longer the fantasy stud he used to be a few years ago.

ESPN has Marc Bulger as the 11th best fantasy QB.

The Bleacherreport thinks Bulger is a sleeper – It’s hard to imagine Bulger as a sleeper, but this year, with a healthy Steven Jackson, along with the addition of explosive WR Donnie Avery, Bulger should return to form of a few years ago. Randy McMichael figures to factor into the offensive in a major role this year, and that could be huge for Bulger. Snatch him up.

We believe this is a tough call in early August but some leagues are already drafting, so you need to decide. Will Al Saunders get the offense back in gear behind Torry Holt, Steven Jackson, and Orlando Pace?  On the other side what if the Rams do not give Jackson a long term contract and he plays mad and disgruntled all year, or Pace does not even make it out of camp healthy? These are all things to think about when drafting your fantasy QB. With all these question marks I would say to take someone else as your #1 QB if possible, and if you can get Bulger later as your #2, and a huge sleeper take him.

Watch out.  Here comes Trent Green!!  LOL

    who’s  #3?

  • Stlvinnie

Watch it! Be nice. Brock Berlin is the probably #3 at the moment but we prefer to have Marc Bulger standing up behind a nice line of Pace, Bell, Romberg, Incognito, and Barron.

  • http://landryhat davedallasfan

yeah, i know berlin, we cut the sob here. i knew he was your #3, thats why i asked to see if you guys realized as well. you got bulger who’s already shown he can’t take the piss poundin anymore, and green thats one sneeze away from a concussion. you better sign another vet, like leftwich????? cause i see your 2 injuries away from losing like the titanic. you guys know all about what a few injuries can due to your season. and exspecially at qb. i wish we would sign leftwing, i think he’d be a great backup. he’s got experience and the desire to be a starter in the nfl. that’s a good mix. good luck with jax anyway

Not a big fan of Leftwich. Any time you are taking about a #3 QB it means you are looking forward to the next season already. At least Linehan seems to know now that you at least need to have 3 on your roster for when people get hurt.

thats true, but you need to have 3 that can start! the redskins are at that point as well. they got the right idea with this brennan kid. and as stupid as everyone thinks the packers are with this farve thing, they are building smart as well, they have rodgers, and drafted brohm, and the kid from lsu to start to build that qb pool. balt. is doing the same, boller, smith, and the rookie they drafted this year. young guys to pool. but if you got the chance to bring in a vet to take some heat off that pool so it can develop, you gotta. tampa has done a good job with their young guys. they like the old vets to start, (maybe farve now) and then pool the young guys…..grudens always liked those vets, smart coach! so there’s 2 ways to go. young guys, and a lot of them, or a win now approach and bring in vets….not sure which is best, but you gotta have three capable of starting at some pont of the season. if your starter goes down, your backup becomes your starter, then your #3 becomes your backup, who needs to be able to start if your now starter goes down. i guess i like the vet, but young guys gotta start sometime or another?????

I have never seen a team ride their number 3 QB anywhere. Simms is available. :)
