Steven Jackson Friend or Foe?

Everyone has an opinion on the Steven Jackson holdout. Which side are you on?

  • Steven Jackson – Held out from training camp even though he was under contract. Jackson still had one year left on his contract and should have honored that and came to camp in good faith. Jackson changed to agent Eugene Parker setting the original negotiations with the Rams back. Jackson should have known from previous Rams deals that he would get his money eventually if he came into camp, Pace, Holt, and Bulger were all offered long term big money contracts.
  • St. Louis Rams – Delayed talks because Georgia Frontiere died. Your franchise is worth around 900 million dollars, business must continue. Jackson is your franchise player he is a must sign. After a 3-13 season you owe the fans the best product possible. You gave Scott Linehan a free pass because of injuries shouldn’t you now provide him with the best possible roster to succeed? Al Saunders is the new offensive coordinator you need everyone in camp early to learn the new offense.

So even though Steven Jackson signed a six-year, $44 million contract, ending a 27-day holdout, on Thursday, I still want to know whose side you were on? The St Louis Post Dispatch ran a poll today and the fans appear to be on the side of the St. Louis Rams, are you?
