Marc Bulger Has Soft Balls

Why does the St. Louis media continually throw Marc Bulger softball questions? If anyone has any questions about Marc’s play you are a Bulger basher. Why can’t fans just be realist? We have reason to question Marc’s current abilities. Notice I said Marc’s current abilities. Please quit saying Marc Bulger Pro Bowl quarterback. Marc is not a Pro Bowl quarterback in 2008. Let’s look at some facts. The Rams are 5-21 in their last 26 games, most of which were started by Marc Bulger. The Rams are 30th in scoring and 28th in passing in 2008. Marc is 28th in the NFL in QB rating. Marc has throw for 220 or more yards in two of his last 15 starts. Marc does not appear to be able to throw a ball over 45 yards. Marc either looks at his first option or the pass rush. Marc is supposed to be an offensive captain yet brings no leadership to the table.

All we hear on Monday is that Marc had a great week in practice, they don’t know what went wrong, the young players are running the wrong routes, the Rams have no running game, Marc has no time, etc. Can Marc do no wrong? Why have we never heard from QB coach Terry Shea? Is Terry Shea actually getting paid? Is Al Saunders under a gag order? We have heard the O-line excuse for two years now. Did you know Marc was sacked 49 times in 2006 when he threw for over 4000 yards? The most disturbing fact this week was a fumbled snap that Marc just stared at after taking 5 steps away from the ball! Why was Marc not asked why he did not try to get the ball back? Since we are paying the 65 million dollar price tag for Marc maybe we could at least get some answers.

Now Jim Haslett is telling us with a tone that makes it seem he believes he will be the coach of the Rams in the future, that Marc will be the Rams QB in 2009 and 2010 no matter what. Memo to the Rams, players can be traded or cut look into it. The fans want the truth not a propaganda machine of excuses and questions not asked. St. Louis media pull up your cajones and throw the fastball!
