Monday’s Rams Camp Tidbits

We are early on in the process, but the Rams have plenty of players who watched from the sidelines during Monday’s morning session of camp due to injury. It doesn’t sound like many of the players are seriously hurt, but it is enough to keep some guys out of work. Here is the list of all players who watched today: Josh Brown, Brandon Gibson, Ron Bartell, Justin King, Kenneth Darby, James Butler, Jacob Bell, Hank Fraley, John Greco, Mardy Gilyard, James Hall, Fred Robbins, and CJ Ah You. In another injury note, Adam Goldberg had an MRI today after hyper-extending his elbow in practice. It sounds like the injury was minor, as he was reportedly able to practice in the evening session.

In other news, we couldn’t go long before mention Sam Bradford. According to Spags, Bradford is getting more work with the 1’s. Bradford was getting about 30% of the snaps before Friday’s scrimmage, but apparently he is now getting closer to 50%. It looks like he will keep getting increased work as long as he keeps impressing.

Jason Smith got some work in with the 1’s at right tackle today, which could be a glimpse into the future. His injury certainly isn’t helping win the job at LT, and it sounds more likely every day that Smith will man the right side on opening day.
