Ok, here we go. The Eagles are coming into town and not many people outside of St. Louis are giving us much of a chance. Can we stop Vick? Can we contain #10 and #18? Can we stop the run? This is where my main point of this post comes in. The Rams needs #55, Mr. James Laurinaitis, to kick it up a notch. Sure, he has led the team in tackles, he has cool tattoos, he does great work in the community, he has a great post-tackle dance paying homage to his father who was a WWF wrestler, etc. But now it’s time for him to lead this team to victory in big games and lead us to the playoffs. I think he is the key to the Rams this year. Sure Sam will do this thing, the receiving group should be better, we have good backup running backs, and the Rams brass and coaching staff seem to be catching on to an identity for this team…but in my opinion James is the heart and passion of this team and we need him. He has the potential to be the sparkplug that London Fletcher was. He can be way better and he can be way more important. But it’s time for him to prove it now with wins and a playoff appearance. Ok RAMS fans, my business partner and I have been working hard on opening a new cutting-edge tv/video production office and the time is closer! One of our regular segments will be Rams Talk on our sports show. We are getting all the gear to open our offices in October, but in the meantime we are going to be tailgating at Rams Park across from the dome from 10am-noon this Sunday! If you are interested in being interviewed, if you wanna sound-off about whatever, or if you just want to show off your arm with the nerf we’ll have out there, hit me up and add me/message me on Twitter! @DarrynOTL - More info coming soon regarding the show, air dates, and other opportunities for you to be on the show! Thanks for reading.

About the Author
My name is Darryn Yates. I pretty much have 2 passions in life besides family and they are sports & music. I was born and raised in Granite City, IL, right across the Mississippi River from St. Louis; my dad was a high school football coach and my mother was a teacher. I moved to southern California in 1993 before the Rams moved to St. Louis. I followed the Rams religiously since St. Louis had no team; the Cardinals had moved to Arizona. I ended up moving back to the St. Louis area in 2005. I am a rock musician (singer/songwriter of the band On Tracy Lane). Besides St. Louis, I have lived in Normal IL, San Diego CA, Pomona CA, Los Angeles CA, and Nashville TN. My music has taken me all over the country and to Greenland where I performed for the US troops. Writing has always been a strong point of mine; it comes very natural to me. Plus, I have a lot to say about sports in our world today and the St. Louis Rams. I welcome you to The Rams Rock Report - a view on sports, particularly the Rams, with a rock n' roll flavor to it. Whatever that means.
