Over/Under 5.5 Wins For The Rams?

I came across this story while searching for something else, but I found it interesting and thought you might as well. Some of you may remember my post about John Clayton predicting a 4-12 season for the Rams in 2012 and that I wasn’t in agreement with the professor, and apparently there are more than a few people out there who agree with me. There was reportedly some heavy action in Las Vegas on the Rams over 5.5 wins for the upcoming season.

Obviously, the gambling talk is for entertainment purposes only, but I find it interesting that so many people believe that the Rams are going to win at least six games this season. I mean, I think they will, but I’m not ready to put any amount of money on that prediction just yet. It still feels nice that there is some belief in this team outside of St. Louis, and that makes me feel pretty good.

Of course, the other bet with the biggest action was the Seattle Seahawks over seven wins, and I’m pretty sure I would feel much better about saying the Rams will win at least six games than I would saying the Seahawks will win eight. Maybe I’m missing something with Seattle, but instead of looking too much into it, let’s just stick with the theme that America believes the Rams will win at least six games and probably more.
