For everyone in Rams Nation, this was an amazing weekend, filled with the excitement of the NFL Draft and plenty of articles dissecting each-and-every pick. Typically, you need to scour the internet to fine solid content on the St. Louis Rams… but, not today! With so much written about the draft, we at Ramblin’ Fan figured we would serve you up a freshly cooked plate of the best links available…

2013 NFL Draft Grades: Jaguars, 49ers, Rams top the class

In this case, the title tells the story of the article. In fact, the cover photo on this post by Sports Illustrated’s Chris Burke shows just how strongly he feels about the St. Louis Rams draft. Only three teams on this breakdown earn a solid “A” grade. Guess who one of the nerds is…?

Inside the Rams’ war room and more draft thoughts

One sign that your team is on the right track is when major sports media figures start prying into the behind-the-scenes action of the organization. In this week’s addition of Monday Morning Quarterback, Peter King paints a portrait of words as he crashed the St. Louis Rams’ War Room on Thursday night. Two links down, two cover pictures for Tavon Austin!

2013 NFL Draft winners: Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions nail it

Bucky Brooks, of NFL.com, went with the tiered approach to breaking down team’ performance in the 2013 NFL Draft. He ranked the teams into four difference levels: 1) Nailed it, 2) Nothing flashy, but solid, 3) Honorable mentions, and 4) Time will tell. Not only do the Rams’ make the cut for one of the top tiers, they also get mentioned as “postseason” contenders.

Ex-Miami Hurricanes safety Ray Ray Armstrong signs with St. Louis Rams as undrafted free agent

Clearly, there is a consensus that the St. Louis Rams “nailed it” with their actual draft selection, but the NFL Draft does not end after Mr. Irrelevant is picked. For some teams, their biggest acquisition will come from a diamond in the rough, picked up as an undrafted free agent (UDFA). Ray Ray was a top-rated safety before falling prey to “off the field” issues, which led to his release from the team. The St. Louis Rams have been successful thus far with players that were either dismissed or missed a full college season (Robert Quinn and Janoris Jenkins). Hopefully they continue that trend here…

NFC West draft analysis

Mike Sando, ESPN’s NFC West blogger, has slowly, but surely, moved away from his typical Seattle-bias. In his first analysis of the 2013 NFL Draft, he give the St. Louis Rams the “Best Move” award, highlighting the fact that the Rams “needed” to take advantage of this draft more than any other team in the division… and did.

Last, but not least, here is an AWESOME video of the fans’ reaction to the selection of Tavon Austin, courtesy of our friends over at Turf Show Times. Make sure to share it with friends and show them some love in the comment section…
