For many fantasy leagues, week 13 is the week right before the playoffs get set to begin. For some their fantasy playoff hopes will depend on whether or not they win this week. Lucky for you we at Ramblin’ Fan want to help you out.

Starters

This game may not look like a game to start many fantasy players, but watch out because you may have some Rams players on your bench or waiver wire that you could pick up that could get you over the hump.

In this game, the running backs, Zac Stacy and Frank Gore, are a must start. Both defenses give up a considerable amount of point to opposing running backs. The 49ers give up an average of 17.78 while the Rams give up and average of 22.15.

Zac Stacy has been a fantasy standout as of late and Frank Gore, although his ability has diminished some, this may be a week to start him rather than wish you have started him.

Sleepers

This is going to be a very low scoring game, therefore defense will be big. Not a lot of points are going to be scored, and some turnovers may happen. The 49ers defense is usually an obvious start on a weekly basis, but if you are looking for a defense, the Rams defense may not be a bad route.

Anquan Bolidn could also be a sleeper this week. It seems like Boldin is either hit or miss. When these two teams played it week four, Boldin had 90 yards and a touchdown, if you are desperate and need a wide receiver, Boldin may not be a bad move.

Pretenders

Beware on starting Colin Kaepernick. Im one of the players that fell victim to the Kaepernick having a bad year and have been paying for it ever since, I finally settled for Nick Foles.  The Rams have had success containing Kaepernick and forcing him into mistakes, this is definitely not a week to start him.

Also beware starting Michael Crabtree and Tavon Austin. Crabtree may be returning, but I wouldn’t expect him to make much of an impact and be in a limited role. As for Tavon Austin, he has had his own coming out party the last two games, making big plays left and right, but I would air on the side of caution starting him this week.

Hopefully this helps. If you want any other fantasy tips or advice, be sure to tweet us all of your questions to @ramblinfan or send us your questions on Facebook and we’ll be sure to answer them. Good luck to all of your fantasy teams and we wish you luck on getting into the playoffs.
