The draft is getting closer, therefore leading up to the draft we will do player profiles on every position. Earlier we discussed the Rams’ quarterback situation and what they could use at the quarterback spot. To summarize, our verdict was that the Rams would be smart to draft a quarterback in the later rounds especially considering that they have 12 picks.

It would come as a shock if the Rams drafted one of the top quarterbacks in the draft, even if one of them were to fall to them at 13, but come the third or fourth round, the quarterback position will be free game. Here are some quarterbacks that the Rams should consider.

Tajh Boyd: runs like Johnny Manziel, passes like Garo Yepremian. If someone takes him before the sixth round, I’d be stunned. The Rams need a QB they can groom to be Bradford’s successor. IMHO, that would be either Murray, Mettenberger or Jimmy Garoppolo. I doubt if Mettenberger or Garoppolo will be available to the Rams in the 3rd Round. Murray might.

You are correct in the first two QB’s but the 3rd QB fit that it’s not on this list is David Fales of San Jose State.
