Kelvin Benjamin, Florida St.

Benjamin brings something to the table that only the unproven wide receivers on the Rams roster do, and that is his hight as he is listed at 6’5 220lbs. Not to make any comparisons but Benjamin would give quarterback Sam Bradford a Calvin Johnson or AJ Green like target in which he could just toss the ball up and let this guy go get it.

Last season Benjamin had 54 receptions for 1, 011 yards, and led the conference with 15 receiving touchdowns, which also tied the FSU single-season record.

If the Rams were to miss out early on Mike Evans and decide to trade down much like they did last year. Benjamin could be their guy. Benjamin is a strong receiver that can compete for the jump ball and break away from defenders, yet he still has the speed to separate from defenders. One big downfall of Benjamin, and one that the Rams already have a problem with, is that he drops easy balls at times.

Benjamin’s size would be useful blocking in the running game which is important as the Rams are a run first team. The Rams have a good amount of small receivers, e.g. Tavon Austin, Chris Givens, Stedman Bailey, and with NFL teams moving to bigger, more physical cornerbacks, Benjamin could be a valuable asset.
