In a surprise move, the Los Angeles Rams decided to keep wide receiver Brian Quick on board for the 2016 season.

When taking a look at which players made the 53-man roster for the Los Angeles Rams, one of the names that’s going to jump out right away is Brian Quick. The wide receiver is entering his fifth season with the team and as bad as it sounds, not many fans expected Quick to make the roster heading into the regular season when considering how much of a disappoint he’s been.

Now that Saturday’s deadline is officially over, it appears the Rams are willing to give Quick one final chance to prove himself at wide receiver–even if the move doesn’t seem to make much sense.

The fact that Quick only caught six passes for 55 yards in the preseason shows how much of a disappointment in the preseason. For a player battling for a spot at wide receiver, Los Angeles was hoping to see Quick more of an impact in the preseason and despite the disappointing numbers, the team for some reason is still willing to give him another chance.

To top things off, Quick was one of the most frustrating players to follow in the preseason with all of the dropped passes. It’s difficult to imagine Quick displaying even worse numbers this year after catching just 10 passes for 102 yards in 2015, but anything seems possible when it comes to the disappointing wideout.
