Brian Quick looks to remain hot for the Los Angeles Rams as they take on the Buffalo Bills at home in Week 5.

Nobody could have predicted the Los Angeles Rams would be 3-1 on top of the NFC West heading into Week 5, but here they are the team prepares for a key matchup at home on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

After scoring just nine points over the first two games, the Rams’ offense has come alive in the last two weeks with big games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals. One of the main reasons behind the recent success on offense has been due to the surprise play of wide receiver Brian Quick, and Los Angeles is going to need him to shine once again if they’re going to walk away with a win over Buffalo.

One week after scoring the team’s first touchdown of the season against the Buccaneers, Quick arguably had the biggest game of his career last weekend after catching two touchdown passes against the Cardinals, one of which ended up being the deciding factor to give the Rams a 17-13 lead. With three touchdowns in two games, Quick has already matched his career high, but he still has plenty to prove when it comes to being consistent in the passing game.

With the Bills building a hot streak of their own over the last two weeks with big wins against the Cardinals and New England Patriots, Rex Ryan‘s squad has every reason in the world to feel confident about shutting down the Rams’ offense. Even if the situation would have been much different with Tom Brady in the lineup, if Buffalo’s defense can march into Foxborough and record a shutout, why shouldn’t they be able to have similar results against Los Angeles?

For the sake of the Rams, let’s hope Quick’s recent success wasn’t just a two-game fluke as Case Keenum will need all of the help he can get on Sunday.

And if Quick fails to show up, then it will be back to the drawing board when it comes to Los Angeles looking for a consistent star at wide receiver.
