Could Los Angeles Rams Face Atlanta Falcons Without Julio Jones in Week 14?
By Dan Parzych
The Los Angeles Rams could face the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday without their star wide receiver Julio Jones.
When looking at how the two teams compare on paper, the Los Angeles Rams will need plenty of help if they’re going to have any chance of defeating the high-powered offense of the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14. With that being said, the Rams will certainly keep an eye on the status of Julio Jones as the star wideout for the Falcons will be a game-time decision.

Unfortunately, Jones has been dealing with a turf toe injury that has prevented him from practicing all week with Atlanta, which is the last thing any fantasy football owner wants to hear with league playoffs getting underway. Obviously, the last thing the Falcons want to deal with is having one of their best players watch from the sidelines against the Rams, and while it seems like Jones may end up playing, one Falcons beat writer believes otherwise.
When healthy, Jones is considered one of the most dangerous receivers in the league, and it’s easy to see why when seeing the problems he causes for opposing defenses throughout his career. And as much as Jones missing Sunday’s game would benefit the Rams, the defense would still have their hands full when seeing some of the other weapons Matt Ryan has to work with on offense.
Between Taylor Gabriel and Devonta Freeman, Atlanta would be just fine on offense if Jones were forced to miss the game against Los Angeles. Either way, there’s no question the Rams’ defense is going to need a stellar performance as they look to help the team win for just the second time in nine games.
