Could Baylor wide receiver KD Cannon be a target for the Los Angeles Rams at No. 37 in the 2017 NFL Draft?

Whether it happens right away or later on, there’s no question the Los Angeles Rams are going to select a wide receiver at some point in the 2017 NFL Draft in order to provide Jared Goff with another weapon to work with in the passing game. Despite the addition of Robert Woods following the departure of Kenny Britt, the Rams still have a lot of work to do when it comes to improving their weak receiving corps from a year ago, especially Tavon Austin.

While Los Angeles has been linked to numerous wide receivers over the last few weeks, but the one player to keep an eye on heading into the draft is KD Cannon. The former Baylor receiver put together some impressive numbers over the last three seasons with the Bears, and after an impressive Pro Day this week, it looks like Cannon already has plans to meet with the Rams.

Compared to the current situation at wide receiver for Los Angeles, there’s no question Cannon seems like the type of rookie that would have an immediate impact in the passing game, just like he did at Baylor. As a freshman in 2014, Cannon caught 58 passes for 1,030 yards while finding the end zone eight times, which is one of many reasons why he’s considered one of the top wide receivers from this year’s draft class.
