Yahoo Buzz has a Five stars to avoid feature on Yahoo sports. Brandon Funston “Fantasy Expert” claims that since Mike Martz, Marc Bulger has been awful. In addition Al Saunders is a run heavy coordinator, Issac Bruce is gone and Bulger is the most sacked QB over the last five years. This leads him to state that Bulger will go from a fantasy stud to a fantasy dud. You can view the full video here.
Thefantasykickoff.com states – Marc Bulger – With Issac Bruce gone and Torry Holt aging, Marc Bulger is no longer the fantasy stud he used to be a few years ago.
ESPN has Marc Bulger as the 11th best fantasy QB.
The Bleacherreport thinks Bulger is a sleeper – It’s hard to imagine Bulger as a sleeper, but this year, with a healthy Steven Jackson, along with the addition of explosive WR Donnie Avery, Bulger should return to form of a few years ago. Randy McMichael figures to factor into the offensive in a major role this year, and that could be huge for Bulger. Snatch him up.
We believe this is a tough call in early August but some leagues are already drafting, so you need to decide. Will Al Saunders get the offense back in gear behind Torry Holt, Steven Jackson, and Orlando Pace? On the other side what if the Rams do not give Jackson a long term contract and he plays mad and disgruntled all year, or Pace does not even make it out of camp healthy? These are all things to think about when drafting your fantasy QB. With all these question marks I would say to take someone else as your #1 QB if possible, and if you can get Bulger later as your #2, and a huge sleeper take him.
