The below statements are from Profootballtalk.com:

"Profootballtalk.com reports that the Browns are pursuing CBS analyst Bill Cowher to replace Romeo Crennel as their next head coach.A “source with knowledge of the situation” tells PFT that the Browns have already approached Cowher and are willing to give him $8-9 million a year. It’s widely believed that Cowher would require full decision-making control, so if the Browns want him they’d probably have to fire GM Phil Savage too. Savage’s explicit email to a fan might give them enough incentive to do it."

Jim Haslett is not the answer for the St. Louis Rams. Yes I know we need to finish out the season and make changes to the front office. However it is not too early to have our Christmas shopping list ready, and on the top of that list should be Bill Cowher. The Cleveland Browns who believe they are an up and coming team are already looking into Cowher. I don’t expect the Rams to announce anything but they better be looking into Cowher as well as others like Steve Spagnuolo on the New York Giants. This team and fans need some new blood pump into them. Rebuilding also needs to include a new head coach. I do not want to hear who will come here. Everyone will come here. There are only 32 NFL head coaching jobs on the planet. All coaches have high egos and believe they can win anywhere. If we can pay millions to players on the bench like Drew Bennett, and players on the field like Marc Bulger shouldn’t we pay whatever is necessary to make our team a winner?
