Ram’s Training Camp Updates
By Ethan Novak
The Rams had a light practice this morning, skipping out on live tackling as they prepare for their first preseason game. Here are a few updates that have taken place today:
-For the first time all season, the Rams had a “fight” break out. It consisted of a few shoves between TE Billy Bajema and S James Butler. Butler was unhappy after Bajema tackled Butler following a fumble.
–Donnie Avery‘s official diagnosis of his left foot revealed a fractured fourth metatarsal (Any doctors read this blog?). The diagnosis created no change in the amount of time Avery will sit out this season.
-The Rams re-signed S Mark Rubin after injuries to Craig Dahl and Eric Bassey. Dahl is day-to-day with a hamstring injury while Bassey suffered a season ending knee injury. Rubin, a rookie out of Penn State, stands at 6’3, 223 lbs..
-DL Adam Carriker suffered a sprained left ankle and is expected to miss a couple weeks.
-FB Mike Karney is getting much closer to being completely back. He has been participating in individual drills, but is yet to partake in team drills.
The Rams first preseason game of the year will be Friday, August 14th against the NY Jets at 6 pm (CT)
