Rams Squeak by Jets In Opener
By Ethan Novak
When the Rams leave New York, they’ll leave with a win, a confidence boost, and a smile. St. Louis took advantage of a muffed punt in the 4th quarter and went on to win the game 23-20.
Running backs Antonio Pittman, Steven Jackson, and Chris Ogbonnaya all turned in respectable efforts, but Samkon Gado absolutely stole the show with a 77 yard touchdown run in the beginning of the third quarter.
Marc Bulger turned in an impressive performance as well going 4/4 for 77 yards. Kyle Boller struggled through a 3/9 for 25 yard performance. Brock Berlin was injured, but his replacement Keith Null led the Rams to the decisive touchdown drive, throwing a 13 yard TD pass to WR Sean Walker.
A much larger breakdown of the game will be coming tomorrow so check back for updates.
