Rams vs. Chiefs Preview
By Ethan Novak
The Rams take on the Chiefs this Thursday in what is sure to be the battle of the backups. Expect the starters to have about 2 series at the most as the Spags makes his final attempt to sort out the several different position battles currently taking place. Here is what to watch for:
-The running backs get their final chance to win the backup runningback job. Samkon Gado appears to be well ahead of the pack, but one game could change it all. Antonio Pittman and Kenneth Darby really need to step it up. Especially since Chris Ogbonnaya has been playing pretty solid as well.
-The 3rd string QB battle has been heating up as well. Brock Berlin is yet to turn in a game that can be considered productive, while rookie Keith Null has impressed with his maturity and poise in the pocket.
-The cornerback battle should become very interesting now that Tye Hill is out of the picture. It appears Quincy Butler will win out the second CB job behind Ron Bartell.
-Also, the receivers get their final oppurtunity to make it big. Laurent Robinson has the second job all locked up in my opinion, but you never know.
The game begins at 8 (ET).
