Rams Ink Several Draft Picks

It was an awfully busy weekend for the Rams, as the team has signed several draft picks for the upcoming season. The team started the free-for-all by inking LB Josh Hull and DE George Selvie to four-year deals. Then, the team finalized a deal with TE Michael Hoomanawanui, a guy who coaches have been very impressed with thus far. Finally, the team gave third round CB Jerome Murphy a four-year, $2.152 million deal that included a $937,739 signing bonus. Murphy is the highest pick of this year’s draft to sign a deal thus far.

As far as the big boys go, no deal is in place for Sam Bradford or Rodger Saffold. It is my understanding that the Saffold deal should be done before training camp, and the hope is that Bradford will be locked up very near the beginning of camp. Obviously, the Bradford deal will be a difficult one to get done, but I fully expect Saffold to be signed and sealed in the next few weeks. At this point, I will be a bit surprised if we can’t get the Bradford deal done relatively quickly as it gets closer to training camp, but with first overall picks you just never know. I will make sure to keep everyone updated when any other picks get signed.
