News On Bradford, Shurmur

The biggest Rams news of the day has to do with offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who is apparently one of the lead candidates for the Cleveland Browns’ head coaching job. Shurmur will reportedly interview with the Browns some time in the near future, and Adam Schefter is reporting that, due to his relationship with Mike Holmgren and Tom Heckert, he could be the frontrunner for the position. I, for one, would be shocked if he got the job, especially considering his offense was ranked something like 26th overall in 2010 here in St. Louis, but I guess you never know. I certainly wouldn’t be heartbroken if he left, as it’s been no secret that I have been critical of the play-calling all season, but there is something to be said for continuity, especially when you have a young quarterback.

Speaking of that young quarterback, Sam Bradford was in the studio with the guys from 101 ESPN’s The Fast Lane today. When the Rams first drafted Bradford, I was a little critical of his interview capabilities, but I have to say that I really enjoy listening to him speak now. The interview is pretty informative and good for a few laughs, so here is a link to the audio. Also, here is a short video clip of the interview where Bradford talks about his ping pong table, which has apparently been a hot topic in St. Louis since Sunday night.
