Rams Feeling Green
By Justin Stine
As Pro Days continue to take place and individual workouts are scheduled, the Rams will be welcoming Hawaii running back Alex Green to town for a visit in the near future. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Green, he led the nation in yards per carry last season at 8.2 while piling up 1,199 yards, and he found the endzone 15 times. He impressed everyone at the combine with a 4.45 40-yard dash, and he showed excellent cutting ability and soft hands.
Reports from Green’s Pro Day were overwhelmingly positive, as he apparently showed his ability to cut hard and he also did a nice job catching the ball. He is one of those names that is starting to climb up draft boards, and I would think that he has to be heavily on the Rams’ radar.
Green is a guy that I really like, and I’m very excited that the Rams are apparently showing some interest. He is exactly what this team is looking for in a backup to SJ39, and he is still a little bit under the radar (although it sounds like that’s starting to change). You have to think that that Rams will be in the market for a running back at some point during the Draft, so remember Green’s name when the last weekend in April rolls around.
