SJ39 Participates In Rams Practice

Thursday’s practice for the Rams saw some positive steps for some of the injured players on the roster, but no one was watched more closely that running back Steven Jackson. Jackson gave it a go out there today, but his reps were limited as he continues to deal with the quad injury. Jackson is being listed as questionable, and my guess would be that he will be a game-time decision again this week when the Rams welcome the Baltimore Ravens to town. It’s good news that SJ39 was out there today, but to be honest I was hoping he would be further along in his recovery at this point. Heading into the week of practice I was fairly confident that Jackson would play this weekend, but now I’m not so sure. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Speaking of injured running backs, Cadillac Williams did not practice on Thursday while he deals with a hamstring. Caddy said he will try to go Friday, but if he is unable to go the Rams could be in big trouble this weekend. It sounds as if Jerious Norwood and Quinn Porter would split carries if both Jackson and Williams are unable to play, and honestly I have to think that even if Williams is able to play, he will have a tough time being effective if he’s hampered with the hamstring. If SJ39 doesn’t play, be prepared to see plenty of Sam Bradford dropping back and throwing the ball. Continue reading on next page…
