Well, coming off Sunday’s miserable game against the Cowboys, the news just gets better for the Rams. Taking a look at the injury report from Coach Steve Spagnuolo at his press conference today, let’s start at the top. As far as Sam Bradford goes, he will be shut down until Wednesday, when he will be evaluated again. There shouldn’t be more concern here than usual, but it will still be one of those things where we just have to wait and see how he progresses. The big injuries from Sunday were Jason Smith and Darell Scott. Smith has been diagnosed with a concussion, but there is still some concern that there could be an issue with his neck/spine. He is going to see a spine specialist this week, but right now it looks like he might have avoided anything really serious. Scott had his CT scan come back negative, but he is dealing with a concussion as well and was sent home on Monday.

We obviously can’t have an injury report without mentioning a member of the cornerback group, so Justin King is dealing with what Spags called “a pretty good groin injury”. He is day-to-day and probably won’t practice on Wednesday, so that’s one to keep an eye on. Brady Poppinga has a second-degree calf strain, and Spags said he probably won’t practice much this week. Jerious Norwood was sick today, and Chris Long, Brian Jackson and Al Harris have “bumps and bruises” per Spags. Analysis on next page…
