We need Jerry Gray

Gregg Williams must go, I know that seems harsh, but if you remember my last post on him, I was defending the man. After the tapes were released I am sorry I cannot defend him. People sometimes do not deserve a second chance. What? I know totally not politically correct right. Well feel free to disagree, but a person willing to take out an ACL, or target the head with the intention to concuss is a back side of a donkeys dairy air and has no place in this game.

As a Running Back who played eight years through school and one at ASU there is no place for that garbage. I suffered a grade four concussion (Could explain a lot of things with me) and I still suffer migraine headaches, sensitivity to bright light, and nausea. Not to mention I can no longer watch 3D movies (not a big deal just another recently discovered side effect). What Gregg Williams did was way out of bounds. I love the old Oakland Raiders of the 70’s and 80’s they who beat you to a pulp then laughed at you as they conquered and won. As brutal as they were and believe me they had the intention of putting you out, it was however within the rules of the game.

I defended Gregg Williams until the recent events unfolded. What this means is probably a lost year for the Rams, but I have a solution.  GO AFTER JERRY GRAY!!!!!! He has been a solid defensive coordinator in this league; he was Jeff Fishers DB coach when the Titans went to the Super Bowl against the Rams (obviously). Not to mention his ties with the Rams organization which includes being the first round pick of the Rams in the 1985 draft, a four Pro-Bowler from 1986-1989 and a Pro-Bowl MVP.  A five time all-pro, and one of the Rams greatest DB’s in franchise history. I promise he will turn the defense around in a hurry and coupled with a few strong draft classes we will be the leagues next dynasty.

A Rams fan since 1983,

Anthony Manna
