Just less than a week after the offseason workout schedule was released, the NFL has released the schedule for the preseason. Although the preseason may mean nothing, it is possibly the most important work that the players get as it is the closest thing to a live game that the players will see before the regular season. Not only that, but players will either make a roster or get cut based on what happens in the preseason.

Here is the Rams preseason schedule:

*Dates and Times have not been set

1. New Orleans Saints

2. Green Bay Packers

3. @Cleveland Browns

4. @Miami Dolphins

The Rams played both the Packers and the Browns last preseason, the Rams lost both match ups. The Rams also played the Saints last season in the regular season, pulling off the upset. The last time the Rams played the Dolphins was two season ago in Miami, one in which the Rams lost.

The preseason to some is pointless, and some even say that there shouldn’t even be a preseason or that it should be shortened. Injuries occur in these games, some that greatly affect teams.

However, the preseason may be the most beneficial work that the players get in the offseason, and it is also a time for players to make a name for themselves. The first preseason game will be played August 3, between the Giants and Bills, it will be the Hall of Fame game in Canton Ohio.
