Tre Mason, Auburn

Mason finished with 1,816 yards rushing which broke Bo Jackson’s single-season school record at Auburn and also led the difficult SEC.

Mason is smaller, but he runs a lot bigger than he is and he finishes his runs and is good in pass protection, which is something that Jeff Fisher like in a running back. He is very agile, has good vision, and could also has that speed factor that the Rams backfield is lacking as he has experience returning kickoffs.

Mason could be the perfect third down running back that the Rams are looking for. One thing that could be seen as concerning other than his small size, is that he does have a fumbling problem, having fumbled the ball eight times the past two seasons.

It would be unlikely that Mason slips to the 5th round, but if the Rams have the chance to draft Mason in the third or definitely the fourth, no doubt will the consider Mason.

*Interesting Fact

-Mason was the first non-QB to lead Auburn in total offense for a season since Bo Jackson in 1985. That’s not bad company to be in.
