Brandon Coleman, Rutgers

Like Benjamin, Brandon Coleman is big and physical. Coleman has the ability to go up and win the 50-50 jump ball which is the type of receiver that the Rams are consistently missing on their offense. He also play-making ability and has size to develop as a good blocker.

There is a reason however that Coleman is only graded to go in the third or fourth round, and it’s because he isn’t a great route-runner and he inconsistent in catching passes. Still, he would give the Rams that big matchup on the outside and they could certainly develop him into a solid receiver.

Last season at Rutgers, Coleman had 34 receptions that went for 538 yards and four touchdowns. The year before he had 718 yards and ten touchdowns however.

If the Rams want another inconstant receiver to add to their arsenal, Coleman is their guy. There are a lot of good things to like about Coleman, but like every draft prospect he does have his downfalls and will need to overcome them.
