Allen Robinson, Penn St

One receiver that some have said could fly under the radar, it is Allen Robinson out of Penn State. Robinson has excellent size at 6’2, 220-lbs and unlike some receivers in the Rams roster, he uses that size to beat press coverage at the line of scrimmage and create separation.

Last season at Penn State, Robinson had 97 receptions that went for 1,432 yards and six touchdowns. The year before he also had over 1,000 yards as he had 77 receptions that went for 1,018 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Robinson also played in a pro-style offense at Penn State, therefore he has experience with a full route tree. He also recorded a 42 inch vertical at his pro day which half an inch away from what Calvin Johnson did at his pro day when he recorded 42.5 inches.

One downfall of Robinson is that he could develop better as a blocker and his judgement on jump balls is a little off at times, but for the most part, Robinson would be a solid receiver and there isn’t a whole lot of risk drafting him in the second, and would be a must if he fell into the third.
