3. Tank for Mariota

Rams fans don’t want to hear it, but the team is likely better off bottoming out and then finally drafting their next quarterback of the future near the top of the 2015 draft. Bradford’s career in St. Louis or career for that matter might be over.

Tanking is a tough word to use as you hate to see players playing to purposely lose and doing that is just bad for a locker room. However, Hill, Austin Davis, and Garrett Gilbert are in no way the future of this football team. The Rams might be better off “tanking” and put themselves in a position to draft one of next year’s top quarterbacks like Marcus Mariota out of Oregon or Brett Hundley out of UCLA.

More from Rams News

If the Rams do end up winning games that would out them out of the hunt for Mariota or Hundley, the Rams would also have the option of trading picks to move up and grab one of the two, but trading away picks is something that the Rams would obviously like to avoid.
