Greg Robinson: Stock DOWN
Robinson had several penalties that bogged down offensive drives against San Diego. The one that was called on him which erased a touchdown by WR Kenny Britt was actually committed by RT Joe Barksdale. Either way, he also struggled at times to keep defenders at bay, although the offensive line only allowed QB Shaun Hill to be sacked once in the game.
Aaron Donald: EVEN
His stock remains even despite a great performance simply because his stock is already sky high. Donald notched his fifth sack of the season, leading all rookies. He also notched two tackles for loss, one quarterback hit and four tackles. Despite his smaller stature, Donald has shown great ability in stopping the run as well as rushing the passer. Unfortunately the rest of the defense struggled to contain RB Ryan Matthews, who finished with 105 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Lamarcus Joyner: EVEN
Joyner did not play due to an injury he suffered against Arizona.
Tre Mason: EVEN
Mason led the team in carries for the sixth straight week. He gained 62 yards on 16 carries. Mason is averaging 63 yards per game and he remains the centerpiece of the Rams’ running attack. He didn’t run for big yardage but be made several big plays – one of which was a 26 yard catch and run on a screen pass to the right side.
Mo Alexander: EVEN
Alexander played special teams again, but did not register any statistics.
E.J. Gaines: EVEN
Gaines had five tackles against San Diego. He struggled to keep up with WR Keenan Allen at times, however. Allen finished with six catches for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Trey Watts: EVEN
Watts was active this week on special teams again. He did not make a tackle.
Ethan Westbrooks: EVEN
Westbrooks again saw action in the defensive rotation. He did not make a tackle either.
Alex Bayer: Stock UP
Bayer was activated and played on special teams mostly. He also played one snap on offense, but he did not catch a pass or make a tackle on the day. Bayer did recover a fumble. TE Justice Cunningham was moved onto the active roster on Wednesday. This is certainly something to keep an eye on.
Marcus Roberson: EVEN
Inactive.
