Greg Robinson: Stock UP
Robinson did not allow a sack on his side of the line, while RT Joe Barksdale struggled to handle OLB Ryan Kerrigan all game long. Anytime the rookie project doesn’t stand out in a negative way, it can be counted as a success. He’ll face an Arizona team that will look to confuse him Thursday night with a myriad of blitzes and looks defensively.
Aaron Donald: EVEN
Donald added another sack to his impressive rookie resume as he makes his case for Defensive Rookie of the Year. His bull rush collapsed the pocket and he toppled over QB Robert Griffin III on his second snap of the game in the fourth quarter. Griffin entered for injured QB Colt McCoy. He finished with four tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit. He stuffed RB Alfred Morris a time or two in conjunction with his pass rush production. As stated on this series previously, Donald’s stock remains even because every week he has been producing sacks and tackles for loss. He still leads all rookies in sacks and ranks fourth in that category among all NFL defensive tackles. Not bad rook.
Lamarcus Joyner: Stock DOWN
Joyner was healthy but did not play. S Mark Barron continues to impress and safeties Rodney McCleod and T.J. McDonald are playing the best football of their career right now. Both had interceptions last week.
Tre Mason: EVEN
Mason had an average game against a stout run defense. He finished with 20 carries for 66 yards. Mason is second among rookies in rushing yards and he leads in yards per game with 69.8. He’ll certainly be tested by a banged up but tough Cardinals defense on Thursday night at home.
Mo Alexander: Stock UP
Alexander played special teams and made one tackle. Alexander seems to have found his niche on the Rams in his rookie campaign.
E.J. Gaines: EVEN
Gaines started on the outside opposite CB Janoris Jenkins despite CB Trumaine Johnson’s return. He moved to the nickel in three receiver sets. McCoy was too busy laying on his back to make many plays downfield. Gaines had two tackles.
Trey Watts: Stock UP
Watts made another tackle on special teams and he helped cause the Redskins’ fake punt to fail. He stayed in position and held his ground against two blockers, allowing his teammates for stop the punter before he could get to the first down marker.
Ethan Westbrooks: EVEN
He was inactive this week again. DE Chris Long’s return has pushed him out of the rotation.
Alex Bayer: Stock DOWN
He was inactive this week after playing a few snaps last week.
Marcus Roberson: EVEN
Inactive.
