The 2015 NFL Schedule has been released just a little over a week before the beginning of the NFL Draft. With that said, the St. Louis Rams enter the year with the 6th most difficult schedule based off of the record of their opponents in 2014.
Here is the St. Louis Rams 2015 Schedule:
Week 1 – vs Seattle
Week 2 – @Washington
Week 3 – vs Pittsburgh
Week 4 – @Arizona
Week 5 – @Green Bay
Week 6 – BYE
Week 7 – vs Cleveland
Week 8 – vs San Francisco
Week 9 – @Minnesota
Week 10 – vs Chicago
Week 11 – @Baltimore
Week 12 – @Cincinnati
Week 13 – vs Arizona
Week 14 – vs Detroit
Week 15 – vs Tampa Bay
Week 16 – @Seattle
Week 17 0 @San Francisco
Well, for the first time in three years the St. Louis Rams will not be ending the season in Seattle, instead the annual end of the year matchup got moved up a week.
Aside from that however, the Rams will need to come out swinging as four of their first five games are against 2014 playoff teams, including four division winners from a season ago. Things lighten somewhat after that since St. Louis plays four straight contests against teams that had losing records last season.
The Rams schedule is a daunting one and getting off to that slow start could doom them if they want to make the playoffs. Getting out of that first stretch of games at 2-3 would be considered a success while 1-4 might be more realistic.
The Rams will then get a much needed bye going into the second half of the season. Coming out of the bye week they will have four or five very winnable games in a row to even out the beginning stretch of the schedule.
To end the year, the Rams have back to back division games on the road finishing the year in Santa Clara against the 49ers.
The Rams will only have one prime time game this year and that is week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football. This comes as somewhat of a surprise as the Rams have played in a few primetime games the last couple of seasons and have played well for that matter.
A lot of how the Rams do will depend on the draft and if they can rebuild their offensive line. The Rams play two of the most defensive divisions in football as they play the NFC West of course as well as the AFC North. Not only that the NFC North has some defensive teams in it as well in the Vikings and Lions.
When all is said and done, the Rams will most likely come out with around eight wins. It won’t be enough to get them into the playoffs, but with the schedule that they have and the order in which they play their opponents. eight is a good rough estimate.
How do you think the Rams will do this season?
