Ten years ago began the downswing on a very successful run in the late 90’s and early 2000’s that saw the St. Louis Rams franchise play in two Super Bowls, winning one of those in the final minutes. Although the franchises best offensive days seem to be behind it, there were some diamonds in the rough. We list the top five of the last ten years here:

#5. Brandon Gibson

Gibson entered the league in 2009 as a sixth round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles out of Washington State. Gibson would be traded to the Rams in October of the same year as part of a deal for linebacker Will Witherspoon. He made a huge splash with the Rams during his first game catching seven balls for 93 yards, both Rams records for a rookie in his first game. In four years with the Rams Gibson accumulated 2,090 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Gibson’s best years were with St. Louis, but consistency always seemed out of his grasp. In 2013 Gibson would move on to play for the Miami Dolphins and is now currently a member of the New England Patriots.
