When St. Louis signed Kenny Britt last offseason to a one-year “prove it” deal, they were hoping to rekindle Britt’s career by reuniting him with his former coach Jeff Fisher. Other than his rookie year, Britt struggled with injuries on the field and trouble off of it. He had fallen out of favor in Tennessee and was at a career crossroads. Well here we are a year later and the Rams have gotten everything they could have hoped for out of Britt. He brought a veteran presence, despite being just 25 years old, to an extremely youthful receiving corp, became a mentor to and helped awaken Brian Quick. He stayed healthy, and posted the highest receiving yard total by a Rams wideout since Torry Holt in 2008, with 48 catches, 748 yards, and three touchdowns. Britt had a productive season and looks to continue his momentum into 2015.
Other nominees: Rodger Saffold, Jared Cook
