Best Player: Robert Quinn

November 2, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn (94) celebrates after the game against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi

Despite having a down year, Robert Quinn remains the best player on the Rams. Quinn struggled in the first quarter of the 2014 season unable to earn even a single sack. He struggled partly because his counterpart, Chris Long, went down with injury. However, after all said and done Quinn still finished with 10.5 sacks, displaying his blazing speed around the edge and nose for the quarterback. The attention he demands from opponents benefits everyone on defense, freeing them up to make plays if Quinn doesn’t make it himself. Through four seasons, Quinn has 45 career sacks and holds the Rams single season sack record (19). He is a complete player and a vital piece to not only the defense but the Rams franchise. Look for Quinn’s sack numbers to jump back up in 2015.
