3. Running back may not be so clear after all

St. Louis received some good news about rookie running back Todd Gurley prior to camp on how his injured knee was progressing well and that he would be able to start camp on time and on the active roster. However, he would be limited in his playing capacity for an unknown timetable. Tre Mason, the Rams starting running back from 2014, is still holding strong as the number one back. The question now becomes, does Gurley recover fast enough to take the spot from Mason, or does he participate in a limited role and Mason starts the season as the number one? As it sits now, Mason would be the week one starter, however camp is only a few days old. Fisher has been quoted saying that he hopes Gurley will be ready to go at some point between Weeks 1 and 6. How long does Mason hold off Gurley? Only time will tell.
