The Rams, and every other NFL team, reduced their rosters down to the required 53 men on Saturday. St. Louis had some surprising names on their final list of cuts including supplemental draft pick, OT Isaiah Battle. Having to forfeit their 2016 fifth-round draft selection, cutting Battle was a risky move. Signing him to the practice squad is a good back up plan, but still not fool proof.

Ram’s starting quarterback Nick Foles has suffered through a slow start this preseason. A new offensive coordinator, a carousel of running backs and a shaky offensive line have left Foles out to dry on multiple occasions. However, the praise for the young quarterback continue to role in. Recently, Andy Reid, head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin had some high praise for Foles.

Recently, rookie running back Todd Gurley was able to remove the yellow head cap worn at practice for players designated as “non-contact.” Gurley was obviously excited, as are the legion of Rams fans that are ready to see what this young back can do. Gurley is still recovering from a torn ACL injury suffered almost 10 months ago.

The St. Louis Rams are coming to a cross roads of such this season. That cross roads is whether or not this team will pick up and move back to the Los Angeles area and leave St. Louis high and dry once again. There are many factors that come into play during this decision. One of those factors is game attendance. Unfortunately, attendance during the preseason has been anything but stellar.
