At 901 career tackles, James Laurinaitis sits second to only Merlin Olsen (915) in Rams’ franchise history. He could surpass that milestone in Week 2 and become the franchise’s all-time leading tackler. It is impressive that a defensive tackle could hold a record like that for so many years, that goes to show how dominate Olsen was in his 15 seasons. Whats more impressive is how quickly Laurinaitis has caught Merlin, granted he plays at a position with more opportunities for tackles. Since being drafted in 2009, Laurinaitis has posted 100+ tackles every season. Keep an eye on his stats because your watching history in the making.
