The Green Bay Packers are once again favorites to reach the Super Bowl. They are the picture of consistency, something the Rams are still searching for. How do they maintain that high level of play year in and year out?
"“A couple of things really -Luck and Ted Thompson. How many other franchises can go from the caliber quarterback of Brett Favre straight into Aaron Rodgers!? Not too many and that probably goes a very long way in the consistency of being among the top in the NFC on a yearly basis.” “Green Bay is one of the few teams that has virtually no acquired free agents on their roster. This team is primarily and almost entirely built through the draft. Thompson has done a great job in building this team through the draft while adding a great amount of depth in the process. “"
Aaron Rodgers is arguably the best quarterback in the league. However, every quarterback has a weakness. What is Rodgers’ and do you think the Rams can exploit it?
"“I would like to see Aaron Rodgers get rid of the ball a little quicker at times. Even if that consists of throwing it 20 rows into the seats. This team goes as far as the health of Aaron Rodgers. If he can stay healthy for the entire length of a season, the Packers are a true contender. One way to do that is by not taking any unnecessary shots.”"
Oct 4, 2015; Santa Clara, CA, USA; Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (12) acknowledges Packers fans during a break in the action against the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth quarter at Levi
Eddie Lacy vs Todd Gurley, that’s a heck of a running back matchup. Both young, tackle breaking backs are going up against solid defensive lines. Who comes out on top here?
"“Green Bay to the surprise of many, has been very good against the run since Week 1. Gurley compiled most of his stats on big plays. If the Packers can eliminate those “home run” plays, Eddie Lacy should win this battle. Sunday could be a preview of the two best running backs in the NFC, if not the NFL for the foreseeable future. “"
If you had to pick one glaring weakness of the Packers what would it be and how can opponents exploit it?
"“Unfortunately, it appears to be the pass blocking following Week 4. If Bryan Bulaga is back this week the right side should be much better. The only concern has been the drop in play from the left tackle David Bakhtiari. Holding penalties have come in abundance on the young season as well.”“With Chris Long and Robert Quinn, the Rams have the perfect defensive line to exploit an under-performing offensive line. The quick release of Aaron Rodgers will have to be in top form on Sunday.”"
Finally, your prediction for the game.
"“This game didn’t have my full attention before last week. The Rams beating Arizona on the road was somewhat of a shocker. Green Bay’s offensive line must play much better than it did against San Francisco to keep the MVP Aaron Rodgers upright.” “Aaron Rodgers is almost unbeatable at Lambeau Field. I think the defense is also due for a huge play on Sunday. I’m going Pack at Lambeau. Packers 24 Rams 20″"
