3 – Greg Zuerlein

From the rookie who earned the nicknames ‘Legatron’ and ‘Greg the Leg’, Zuerlein’s fourth year in the league has been one to forget. 2015 has seen Zuerlein make only 68% on his field goals, ranking 33 of 35 kickers with ten or more attempts this year. It has also been the only year where he has failed to feature in every game, after missing the Cincinnati trip and the Arizona home game with a groin injury. Crucially, Zuerlein missed a 48-yarder in that sickening overtime loss to Minnesota which sent the Rams into free fall. While that loss or the run of defeats that followed clearly cannot solely be attributed to Zuerlein, the Rams season could have turned out very differently if they had come away from the Vikings game at 5-3 rather than 4-4. The Rams have a very strong special teams unit, and in the last few years Zuerlein has been an important part of that – something that dropped off in 2015.
