The St. Louis Rams are cleaning house, sort of. The Rams season ended on a sour note with a OT loss to their rivals the San Francisco 49ers, and finished the year with another below .500 season. With that in mind, Jeff Fisher hinted of making coaching changes in a press conference last week, and now has done so.

The Rams will not renew the contracts of five assistant coaches, the team announced Wednesday. The St. Louis Rams released a statement on their website of the five changes to the coaching staff.  Fisher did not take long at all to release the assistant coaches of their duties, and seems Fisher is focused on a 2016 season.

Those who will not be retained are Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach Adam Bailey; Assistant Special Team Coach Paul F. Boudreau; Offensive Assistant Jeff Garcia; Wide Receivers Coach Ray Sherman and Running Backs Coach Ben Sirmans.

“We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication each of our coaches have given to the organization,” Head Coach Jeff Fisher said. “We wish them well in their future endeavors.”

The big name out of the coaches would be offensive assistant Jeff Garcia who helped mostly with the quarterbacks. Unfortunately if the Rams are going to get better, they have to make changes. Even though the fans never really got to see these coaches in action a lot, they deserve a lot of credit for what they did last season.

The St. Louis Rams are making changes and fast, do you think there will be any more changes to come?  Will there be a new offensive coordinator next season? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
